DrivingBuddy is a driving safety and performance improvement app. It features advanced, multi-category, detailed scoring (validated) with gamification and analytics to provide both positive and remedial feedback. Mentor eData (MeD) is a software engineering company that develops solutions to collect and analyze naturalistic driving data used by insurers, financial institutions and fleet training/operations. Insurance: Auto: About 2,500 companies offer auto insurance in the US, paying out over $100B in claims annually. Losses can be offset by accurate risk calculations and premiums appropriate for actual risk, which increasingly is accomplished using driving behavior data as part of usage-based insurance or UBI. Financial Risk: Driving data can be used to predict financial risk. MeD is partnered with an industry-leading risk assessment firm to collaboratively develop an industry-standard, validated Driving Score to be used for a variety of risk calculations.
